John Holland McConnell Dowell JV – Land Transport Authority (LTA) Jurong Region Line (JRL) J108 Project
In early 2020, LTA awarded a contract for 3 stations on the Jurong Region Line to a Joint Venture between John Holland Pty Ltd and McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd. Scheduled to be completed in late 2026, the contract forms part of the new Jurong Region Line MRT development by LTA, which involves the construction of Tengah Plantation Station, Tengah Park Station, Bukit Batok West Station and Viaduct. The 150m long station platforms will be linked by 2.3km of elevated twin track viaducts, to support both existing and future development, as well as significantly improve connectivity of the region to serve the community living in the western parts of Singapore.
Hence, having been involved in multiple LTA projects and having worked with McConnell Dowell in the past, Jenmon was honoured
to be appointed by John Holland McConnell Dowell Joint Venture to design, supply, deliver, install, test and commission 1 unit of 60/20 ton Double Girder Gantry Crane and 1 unit of 80/20 ton Double Girder Gantry Crane. To increase efficiency and reduce the cost of loading and civil works, Jenmon recommended for the 1 unit of 80/20 ton Double Girder Gantry Crane to be installed on wheels.
