DTL3 C930 (SK Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd)

Awarded by SK E&C Engineering for 2 units of 40 ton and 12 ton Gantry Cranes, and 1 unit of 65 ton transfer car for Land Transport Authority (LTA) – Downtown Line (DTL)3 Project – C930 station

 

Jenmon was awarded by SK E&C Engineering, a Korean conglomerate, to supply and install 2 units of 40 ton and 12 ton Gantry Cranes, and 1 unit of 65 ton transfer car for DTL 3, C930 station.

The cranes were installed side by side with a cantilever design, allowing goods to be carried seamlessly from the shaft by the 40 ton Gantry Crane, before being transferred to the 12 ton Gantry Crane which will place the goods onto the trailers to be transported out.

Due to our customer’s special request regarding the transfer of goods, several key features had to be considered. Both cranes’ cantilever will overlap each other and thus, may result in a collision if the operators are not attentive. Sensors and limit switches were incorporated in the design and tested to ensure that should the other crane be in operation; the sensors would be able to detect at a safe zone and halt the crane.
