Awarded by Tiong Seng Contractors (Pte) Ltd for 5 units of Gantry Cranes and Electric Overhead Travelling Cranes for Land Transport Authority (LTA) – Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) – T220 project

Tiong Seng Contractors (Pte) Ltd has more than 50 years of experience as a building construction and civil engineering contractor in Singapore. Since the 1970s, the company was involved in the construction of Singapore’s first highways – Pan Island Expressway and Central Expressway, and later the construction of Tanjong Pagar Terminal and many other government building projects.

With several LTA projects experience, Jenmon was honoured to be awarded by Tiong Seng Contractors (Pte) Ltd to design, supply, install and commission a total of 5 units of cranes for this project. 1 unit of 10 ton Gantry Crane, 2 units of 20 ton Gantry Cranes, 2 units of 20 ton Double Girder Electric Overhead Travelling Cranes were provided for the construction of T220 – a joint venture between Tiong Seng Contractors (Pte) Ltd and Dongah Geological Engineering Co. Ltd.

Thomson-East Coast Line – T220 project consists of the construction of Great World station, along with 2 pairs of tunnels designed to run along Havelock and Orchard stations on either end. Jenmon tailored the cranes for the station construction, which used a top down construction approach.

The estimated date of handover is in March of 2018.
