Awarded by Straits Constructions for a total of 25 units of various cranes for their newly Integrated Construction and Prefabrication Hub (ICPH)

Jenmon was awarded by Straits Construction to supply and install a total of 25 units of cranes. This consisted of Gantry Cranes, Electric Overhead Travelling Cranes and Jib Cranes for their newly Integrated Construction and Prefabrication Hub (ICPH) at Kakit Bukit.

This was one the key initiatives that the government introduced to improve the productivity of the construction industry: by adopting highly productive technology and automation. Once it is completed in 2016, the plant will have an annual production capacity of more than 60,000m^3 of precast components, much more than what a conventional precast yard can produce with the same amount of factory space.

Despite the lack of space available for installation, as well as a need for a maximum hook height, Jenmon’s team overcame the various challenges and successfully installed the cranes on site. Not only did Jenmon meet the requirements of the technical specifications of the cranes, we also demonstrated a well-planned and coordinated partnership with our customer.
